Boeing (NYSE:BA) received approval from U.S. aviation authorities to start certification flight testing of its 737 Max 10, the biggest version of its bestselling single-aisle jet, Reuters reported Wednesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration this week granted type inspection authorization for the jetliner. The step permits FAA pilots to participate in flight testing needed to certify the plane for normal operations, three Boeing (BA) executives said in a letter to employees cited by Reuters.

Boeing’s (BA) stock was little changed on Wednesday morning in New York Stock Exchange trading.
