The property is currently owned by film director and producer Timur Bekmambetov, who bought it in 2011 for $3.7 million, the Journal reported.

Bekmambetov is known for films including “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and the 2016 remake of “Ben-Hur.”

Bekmambetov has been proactive about opening the house to the community, working with Disney historian and blogger Todd Regan to organize tours of the property.
